Privacy and cookies
What FootyFacts Board stores, what Google AdSense collects, and the choices you have over both.
FootyFacts Board is a free soccer puzzle. This page explains what data the site handles, who else receives it, and what you can do about it. It covers the whole site, including the game and every page on it.
What is stored on your device
Playing signed out, everything stays in your browser's local storage: your scores, your streak, your saved boards in progress, and your preferences (theme, guess mode). None of it is transmitted anywhere. Clearing your browser storage erases it permanently — there is no copy elsewhere to restore from.
If you create an account
An account exists to do one thing: let your stats follow you to another device. It stores your email address, a password (hashed — the site never holds the original), your chosen username, your game statistics and your saved boards. Usernames are publicly readable, which is what makes them globally unique; nothing else about your account is.
This data is held by Supabase, which provides the site's database and authentication. Deleting your account from the profile screen deletes the account itself along with your username, statistics and saved boards. It is not recoverable afterwards.
Account data is never sold, and it is not shared with advertisers.
Advertising
The site is funded by advertising, served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or read device identifiers in order to serve and measure ads, and — depending on your settings and your region — to personalise them. This processing is Google's, not this site's: FootyFacts Board does not receive your browsing history and does not build a profile of you.

Ads are not shown on utility screens — loading states, sign-in, error pages and competition lobbies carry no ad units.
Your choices
In the EEA and the UK, consent for advertising cookies is collected through a Google-certified consent management platform before personalised ads are served, and you can reopen that choice at any time from the notice it presents. Everywhere, you can control personalisation through My Ad Center, block cookies in your browser settings, or use an ad blocker. The game remains fully playable in all of those cases — nothing on this site is gated behind accepting an ad cookie.
Analytics
The site runs no analytics product of its own. There is no Google Analytics tag, no third-party tracking pixel and no fingerprinting script. Aggregate traffic figures come from the hosting provider's server logs and from AdSense's own reporting.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has created an account, email the address below and it will be deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a site holds about you. For FootyFacts Board that means your account record, which you can delete yourself from the profile screen, or by emailing the address below from your registered address. Requests about data held by Google as an advertising provider go to Google directly, through the links above.
Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the date below. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated policy applies.
